I have worked in approximately 60 weddings or so and sometimes you think that after 60 weddings you are pretty much prepared for everything, or at least that’s the idea you have. Well, I was wrong.

I had never had such an intense experience and the one I had in Amry and Edgar’s friend, a couple of friends that I know since a few years ago. Everything ran just smoothly right after the ceremony, afterward, a group of gray clouds were on top of us, the wedding was outdoors, there was no tent, nor roof.

It happened in just a matter of seconds, right after Amyra and Edgar were about to finish dancing their first dance as husband and wife the first raindrops started to fall, from there, the adventure started. This was the first wedding where I had witnessed the bride Trashing her dress right after her first dance. The storm hit us hard, really hard, and everybody ran for cover, except Amyra and Edgar! They were there for their wedding, to enjoy their moment, their party, their once in a lifetime celebration. They say that rain during your wedding day is a blessing, well I’m sure God will endlessly bless your marriage guys! Thanks for everything!

A few lucky ones made it dry to safe ground :)

This is when the real party started, friends and couple, dancing in the pouring rain…

Soaking dresses…

The party kept on going in the venue’s kitchen, yeah!!

The calm after the storm…

The clothes didn’t get to dry at 100% but this was such an unbelievable reception…

A playful colorful camel was fooling around during Vero and Ramiro’s session :)

There was quite a rough battle to catch the bouquet!

Gotta love the Mexican folklore at weddings!

Me sentí sumamente honrado y emocionado.

Natalie believed in me. From the moment I met her, I had never seen somebody who was so moved by my photography. I felt so humbled and grateful. I remember when we had our first meeting that she made me feel like the most important wedding photographer in the world! And later again, I had the opportunity to know Natalie and Jeremiah closer not just as a couple but as friends. I’m so blessed to have met people like them in my life, they are such amazing human beings and they changed in many many ways the way I look at my work as a wedding photographer, they way I approach weddings and the passion that I put in every frame. Simply put, they boosted my love for this art and my confidence in imaginable ways. I love you guys. Thanks forever…

Cake: Cynthia’s Cakes

Natalie needed to be alone a few minutes before walking the aisle, I’m glad she let me stay so I could get this shot. It was a very calm yet intense moment.

The pastor was way cool, he was very creative with his analogies about marriage :)

The sunset was beautiful and created a magical atmosphere during the ceremony!

The cake was just stunning…

I love the expression of the girl, so concerned about the cake being stabbed!

This singer was something else, it was like listening to a Frank Sinatra record, amazing vocals!

I couldn’t resist to get this shot, love the vibe of both mom and dad and the newly weds after a long day!
