Mi vida había cambiado unos pocos días antes de esta boda. Nació mi primer hijo. Recuerdo estar muy emocionado por ir a Campeche para cerrar el año y trabajar con una pareja muy chida, Victoria y David. Pero bien dicen unos grandes maestros míos que uno no debe de ir con ideas preconcebidas a una boda y con Victoria y David fué el caso. Sabía que sería una boda bella, emocionante, etc. Lo que no sabía era que iba a encontrar una inspiración muy grande en ésta boda que me dejó marcado: El discurso de agradecimiento de David hacia su papá.

Palabras emotivas, fuertes, bellas e indelebles, Victoria y David me regalaron en su boda no sólamente la oportunidad de crear imagenes para ellos, sino también las ganas de que en un futuro mis propios hijos se puedan expresar de mí así como ellos se expresaron de sus padres en ese increíble día. Gracias por la inspiracion chichos. Se les quiere mucho.

My life radically changed a few days before this wedding. My first son was born. I remember that I was quite excited to travel for the first time to Campeche and excited as well to work with a great couple like Victoria and David. But as some of my great masters say, you have to go to every wedding with no preconceived ideas of what to expect and this was the case. I knew it was going to be a great wedding, what I didn’t know is that I was going to be so inspired, the reason: David’s speech to his Dad.

His words were emotive, strong and beautiful and I remember thinking that I will forever thank David and Victoria not only for giving me the chance to capture their most important moments, but for giving me the dream that maybe someday, my kids will express about me the same way Victoria and David expressed about their parents on their wedding day. Thanks for the inspiration my friends!!

Conocí a Ana y Julio el año pasado en Houston enmedio de la planeación de dos bodas muy bellas que tuve en el 2009. Ana estaba envuelta también en este increíble mundo de las bodas coordinando y poniendo todo el orden para el gran día de las novias. En el 2009 creció una amistad muy padre con Ana y Julio y tuvimos el placer de trabajar hasta morir en éstas bodas y compartir buenas aventuras. Lo mejor de todo, es que en 15 días estaré haciendo clicks de su aventura más grande como pareja. Gracias guys, nos vemos en 2 semanas!

I met Ana and Julio last year in Houston in the middle of the planning of 2 beautiful weddings that I had to shoot in 2009. Ana was quite involved in the wedding world as well on the planning and coordination side of it. During 2009 my friendship with Ana and Julio grew stronger as we shared many adventures working together on those two weddings that I mentioned. The best of this friendship is that in two weeks I’ll be making photos of their greatest adventure as a couple! Thanks guys, I see you in two weeks!

Muchas muchas muchas cosas maravillosas pasaron durante este gran fin de semana. Ya tiene unos días que hice esta boda de mis amigos Citla y Jimmy y aún tengo una sensación chistosa en mi interior de esta experiencia, fué mágica. Me pregunté muchas veces: De qué manera trabajar en esta boda? Citla es una super fotógrafa y ella conoce cuáles son los más altos ‘estandares’ de la fotografía de bodas. De qué manera trabar en esta boda? Me seguía repitiendo a mí mismo casi en cada click, en cada cuadro, en cada composición, en cada momento de anticipación. De repente me di cuenta, precisamente ésta es la forma! Un click a la vez, disfrutando este momento, el privilegio de estar aquí con estos amigos que tanto quiero, rodeado de otros tantos más que aprecio mucho. La vibra fué increíble… wow, creo que no voy a olvidar esta boda en mucho mucho tiempo…

Many many many beautiful things happen during this amazing weekend. It’s been a few days since I shot my friends Citla and Jimmy’s wedding and I still have a funny feeling in my gut, it was magical. I wondered many times, ‘How do I approach this wedding?’ Citla is a great photographer and she knows what the highest standards of photography look like. ‘How do I approach this wedding?’ I kept asking to myself and almost in every click, every frame, every composition, every anticipation I was asking myself the same thing. I realized how, just like that! One click at a time, enjoying myself to have the privilege to be there, with these two dearest friends of mine, with so many great friends around as well. The vibe was incredible… wow, I won’t forget this wedding in a long, long, long time…
